Public Service Announcement
Do not take "La Peppa Negra"!!!!!!!-

Proactive policing means listening to residents concerns before it-s gotten so bad they-re calling for your head. That includes listening to resident concerns online.

Police officers
To those complaining about our police on this forum, my question to you is- have you placed a phone call to the police chief or any other city official about your gripes? Putting it on this forum will not resolve any of the "so-called" issues that you have listed. May I suggest that next time you see police officers slacking off make a phone call. I am sure that if enough phone calls are made regarding your allegations the issues will be addressed promptly. Chief Guzman can not be everywhere at all times and as anyone in that position, relies on input from the residents on these issues. If no one calls him or any other city official then everything can be presumed that all is well. So it is up to YOU to bring these matters, if they so do occur, to his attention.

Rec center
During any project or construction there is usually some type of traffic concession that has to be made. We have all lived through water and sewer digging up our streets, sidewalks being fixed or put in and now the bike path on Westward Dr. This will not last forever and it will benefit the community in the long run. Whether you are for the bike path or not there are plenty of residents who want to see the project completed so that they can use it. Even when you have work done in your own home there is usually some concessions that must be made while the project is being worked on. Westward Dr. is no different.

Dog catcher
Well "Z" old buddy, you really screwed the pooch this time. I doubt that you will ever be elected to even dog catcher in this city. You will always be remember as the guy that ruined the 4th of July parade. What where you thinking ? ? ? ? ?

Beautiful Miami Springs is a quiet residential community located in the heart of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Literally, just minutes away from anything in Miami, it's a slow paced oasis within the larger hustle and bustle of greater Miami.

Miami Springs was founded in 1926 by Glenn Curtiss, also known as the "Father of Naval Aviation." Miami Springs is a middle to upper middle class neighborhood with a mix of blue collar and white collar workers. At the core of Miami Springs is a championship style 18 hole golf course that has hosted hundreds of tournaments and celebrities alike.

Miami Springs has a mix of homes ranging from modest to luxury. Most of the larger, luxury style homes can be found along the beautiful golf course.

Miami Springs has a row of hotels along NW 36 Street, adjacent to Miami International Airport. The proximity to the airport and the 10 - 15 minute distance to the Port of Miami Cruise Ships and South Beach makes Miami Springs a popular hotel destination for tourists from all across the globe.

MiamiSprings.com was created in 1997 by local businessman and Miami Springs resident, Nestor Suarez. Nestor loved the city he grew up in and created the first website dedicated to the Miami Springs and Virginia Gardens area. To this day, Mr. Suarez still operates the website providing local news, events, updates, and photos. The website also has a popular (and sometimes controversial) political forum where anyone can discuss current local issues, politics, ideas. Forum posts and Individual comments posted on MiamiSprings.com do not necessarily represent the opinion of MiamiSprings.com, its owner, or its advertisers.
